Intelligent lubrication of rotationally symmetrical products with the SOMA RDS: parameterizable, volumetric and contact-free.
Rotationally symmetrical components are essential components of many products and are therefore used in almost all industrial sectors. Common to many rotationally symmetrical applications is wear caused by friction, which can be significantly reduced by the targeted placement of suitable lubricants with a defined volume.
ConsultationThe SOMA RDS rotary dosing system offers the highest degree of flexibility in fully automatic lubricant dosing for rotationally symmetrical products – parameterizable, volumetric and contactless.
With the help of parameterization software, RDS-Control, specially developed to meet the requirements of a rotary dosing system, the dosing sequences can be created in no time at all and loaded into the dosing control system. The sequences are selected and started by means of a selector switch or automatically by a higher-level control system.
For maximum flexibility, 16 different dispensing sequences can be created per dispensing sequence, which are visualized by RDS Control for monitoring. For each dispensing sequence, it is also possible to determine whether dispensing should take place during rotation, the "On The Fly" method, or whether it should be stopped beforehand, the "On Hold" method, for the highest accuracy requirements.
All components required to operate the RDS, such as the stepper motor controller, the power supply, the optional heating controller and the digital interface to a higher-level plant control system, are arranged in a compact, industrial housing. The RDS controller is thus equally suitable for mounting in process cells or as a tabletop unit at semi-automatic workstations.
